I was born in Kythira in 1947. I completed my circular studies in Kythira and from 1965 to 1970 I studied at the Athens School of Philosophy. In 1972 I was appointed to the High School of Kythera, where I served as a philologist teacher. At the same time, I was appointed head of the Local Archive of Kythera. From 1986 I was the headmistress of the High School of Kythera until 1999, when I was seconded to the Archive of Kythera until my retirement in 2008. I dealt with the publication of raw material of our Archive. The fruit of this activity is 4 books of historical interest for Kythira and numerous articles in local newspapers and magazines, which illuminate aspects of the history of Kythira. At the same time I dealt with the rescue of the musical tradition of Kythera and in fact of the peculiarities in the Kythera chanting. Now as a retiree I volunteer in our Archive and with the history and folklore of Kythera. In the past I wrote articles in the newspaper "Kythiraiki Idea" and "Foni ton Kythira". Today I am writing an article in the newspaper "Kythiraika" and ilovekythera.com.
For me, photography is a big part of my life. It all started with taking photos of my friends, it was something I liked and enjoyed. At 16 I decided to work to get a good cell phone with a camera because until then I did not have, and little by little I discovered things through the photos I took which have made me keep trying and keep taking pictures. To this day all my photos are taken from this mobile.
